As much as I appreciate Nick for being up front about his political views, they seem to blind him to a basic element of satire in comedy. Great satire uses humor to ridicule the shortcomings, hypocrisies and foibles of the powerful. So when they go after white Republicans, it’s not because of “political correctness”; that’s a catchall phrase for people not thinking it through very deeply. It’s because satire is a way to ridicule the powerful, and white conservatives have had the power for the last 8 years, well….
Doesn’t take a genius to put this together, Nick. When Jon Stewart starts skewering the ineffectiveness and idiocy of Obama and the Democratically controlled Congress, don’t look for Nicky to change his tune.
