Timeout Chicago just did a feature on the city’s amateur comedy scene, describing is as misogynistic, often borderline-hateful environment. “…most comedians admit that the open-mike circuit is a breeding ground for the worst offenders: rape jokes, the casual use of derogatory terms and anti-feminist rants,” reads the article.

Tomorrow is the premiere of the New England Sports Network’s new stand-up comedy show, Comedy All-Stars. The show will run every Friday after Red Sox coverage – that’s about 10:30 pm – and will feature some of the country’s better known comics performing onstage at Boston’s most popular comedy venue, the Comedy Connection.
