This week on our favorite podcast WTF, Marc Maron welcomes sketch comedy trailblazer and Upright Citizens Brigade co-founder Matt Walsh.
You know him from The Daily Show and the now defunct UCB sketch show on Comedy Central.
He also created and will be starring in a new series for Spike called Players. Premiering March 2, the show follows two brothers who run a sports bar.

It’s the time of the week where we tell you, Punchline Magazine readers, who will be guesting on our favorite podcast – one that we proudly sponsor — WTF with Marc Maron.
Comedian and Sarah Silverman Program scribe Chelsea Peretti stops by on Monday to talk Monty Python and Joan Rivers, among other things. And then later in the week, Dave Attell — a dude that seemingly every respected comedian lists when asked who’s the best out there — chats poolside with Marc about the USO Tour and fathers.
Also, you should know this, especially if you live in the LA area. Marc and Chelsea are filming a WTF-inspired television pilot for Comedy Central. It’s going down Jan. 28 at 7 pm at Comedy Central stage at the Hudson Theater. You’ll need to call 323-960-5519 to make reservations. We highly recommend you go down and show your support.
And as always, you can get every episode of WTF at WTFpod.com or on iTunes. And there’s plenty of swell merchandise here and here. Also, be sure to join the WTF mailing list so you know when Marc will be in your town, bringing his sad, funny, angry cathartic stand-up power.
This will be an incredible week for WTF, Marc Maron’s always entertaining, always enlightening comedy podcast. Today Marc welcomes comedian Bill Burr.
You know him from his latest album and DVD Why Do I Do This?, his classic performance (nearly 600,000 views on YouTube) three years ago at Opie & Anthony’s Traveling Virus tour stop in Camden, NJ where he spent his entire set heckling thousands of audience members; you know him from being simply one of the best and well-respected comedians today.
Later this week, fast-rising comedian Matt Braunger, who released a stellar CD, Soak up the Night last year for Comedy Central Records, will join Marc in the garage. In addition to being a fine stand-up comedian, Braunger is an incredible writer and sketch performer, having had years of background pay off during the last season of MadTv. And if you haven’t seen him as Detective Mathis on the Internet series IKEA Heights, you’re missing out. Actually, check out an episode below.
As always, all things WTF — merchandise, every past episode if you don’t want to use iTunes, donation links — can be located at WTFpod.com. Get there, poke around and buy some shit, folks. You won’t be sorry.
We usually let you know who’s going to be on Punchline Magazine’s favorite podcast WTFon Mondays. That way you can properly prepare yourself and your mp3 players for the week. This time, we’re letting you know after one of the two episodes has already gone live but before the second one is live. Sometimes change is good.
Anyway, this week Marc has a great chat with his friend, Hollywood writer Dave Pullano. It’s a really great interview if you’ve ever been curious about how the television and movie industry works. Dave also, indirectly, gives some awesome career advice that involves creative lying. A must listen. On the episode that will go live Thursday, Marc welcomes comedian Howard Kremer; you may know him as Dragon Boy Suede, the hilarious, perverted rap star alter ego he’s created. Check out the video below, also starring comedian Natasha Leggero, to get yourself acquainted.
And as always, get thee to WTFpod.com for all your WTF needs: streaming all past episodes, links, comments, happiness.
