Katt WilliamsWe’re almost tired of reporting on Katt Williams’ antics with the law. So, we’ll let TMZ.com do it. Here’s what they posted just moments ago:

TMZ has learned comedian Katt Williams was arrested moments ago in Georgia — and is currently being transported to a Coweta County jail. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Katt and “several” members of his “entourage” were involved in some sort of incident just a few hours ago.

Several sources tell TMZ Williams was arrested in the parking lot of a local Walmart after an incident involving another “crew.” We’re told six squad cars were called to the scene and cops rounded up roughly a dozen men — including Williams. No word on what he’s being booked for yet.

Katt Williams kicked out of the Four Seasons

Digg!

We reported earlier this week that comedian Katt Williams was arrested for burglary after allegedly stealing a few thousand dollars worth of jewelery from a home in suburban Georgia, where he’s shooting a movie. After the owner of the house explained to authorities that Williams was staying at the house and did not break in, the comedian was released on $40,000 bond.

Today, Williams told reporters that he was kicked out of the Four Seasons in midtown, Atlanta for causing a disturbance. Clearly, he thinks he got the boot because of the burglary allegations. Honestly, we don’t know what to think anymore. Check out this news report filed by Fox news in Atlanta. What do you think about all this? Leave your comments below.

Katt Williams arrested for burglary (updated)

Katt WilliamsTroubled comedian Katt Williams looked as though he was turning it all around — gun charges from last November were recently dropped and he released a new stand-up concert DVD last month — but that doesn’t seem to be the case now. He’s been arrested in suburban Atlanta for burglary and criminal trespassing.

Williams is being held at the Coweta County Jail in Georgia and is expected to have his bond set at an arraignment this afternoon. According to the Associated Press, Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Major James Yarbrough said the Sunday night incident happened at a home in Newnan, about 38 miles southwest of Atlanta. Yarbrough said the unidentified homeowner called police around 9 p.m. to report the comedian ‘”gained entry by breaking into the home, and items were taken from the residence.”’ Yarbrough said jewelry was taken, but did not have further details.

Police say that Williams was in Georgia working on a movie.

UPDATE FROM CNN:

The house, on a horse farm in rural west Georgia, is owned by record producer Barry Hankerson, according to the police report.

Williams has been living in the Coweta County, Georgia, home for nearly a month while filming a movie produced by Hankerson, attorney William Briggs said.

Williams, 38, was arrested early Monday after an employee of Hankerson’s — Daniel Paul Broach — called police and reported Williams had broken into the home with a crowbar, the police report said.

Hankerson spoke with investigators Monday afternoon to assure them Williams had his permission to stay indefinitely in the home he was accused of burglarizing, Briggs said.

Katt Williams gun charges dropped

Digg!

Katt WilliamsManhattan prosecutors have dropped gun charges against comedian Katt Williams. The comedian was arrested last November when police spotted three guns in his convoy. A representative from the DA’s office said prosecutors dismissed the case against Williams because they couldn’t “prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt,” according to New York’s Daily News. An investigation found that the guns were registered out-of-state to two of Williams’ security guards. The guards will still face charges.

Defense lawyer Charles Ross said he was “pleased that the DA’s office did the right thing.” Williams was admitted to a psychiatric facility a week after his arrest, citing exhaustion. He took a break from performing at the end of 2008.
