This is big news! Get it– because the pair of comedians named in the headline are big? Oh, dear.
Anyway, it seems that wildly popular comedian Ralphie May and former Last Comic Standing favorite Lavell Crawford have struck a deal with Comedy Central to develop a buddy sitcom of sorts.
The Hollywood Reporter says the show, Brother From Another Mother, centers around the two comics, playing best friends who come to find they’re brothers after their dad dies and leaves them his barbecue joint.
We guess May wasn’t messing around late last month when he said in an interview he was looking to break into television. Looks like it’s going to happen.
What do you think? If the show makes it to air, will you watch?

I love Ralphie. I will be watching. I saw him a few months ago in Houston. His set was awesome. He is a comedian for the people. He did 2 and a half hour set.

Yes, I would watch for Lavell — he’s funny. Only problem is I don’t get cable – I hope Comedy Central distributes their Lavell shows online *free of charge.*

Ralphie May is one of the funniest guys in comedy today. He can absolutely own the room. I hope the best for him in this new sitcom. I will definitely be watching!

I am from Clarksville, Ar. and want you to know how proud I am that you have made something so good and funny out of your life.. I am 53 years old and always enjoy a good laugh. I’m also disabled with heart desease, Fibromylgia, aand a very bad back. I should be in a wheel chair but refuse to give into it and get in one. So not many things in life are all that funny to me. So thank you for entertaining me when I need a good laugh. I moved to Little Rock to be close to my doctors,but get back home to Clarksville once a month. My sons Garrett and Bret say they remember you. Bret got me listening to you..Anyway, just wanted you to know someone from your home town is very proud of you.

I just left Ralphie’s show @ the Funny Bone in Beavercreek,Oh.His set was incredible and I loved his references to his family.I consider this night to be the true beginning of my total admiration for the man and his craft.I will be supporting him and his families success.His wife rocked as well.Great luck to you both.
