Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a song from Stephen Lynch
On his stellar 2002 album Superhero, Stephen Lynch, he of the funny song writing ilk, ends his disc with a wee ditty called “Down to the Old Pub Instead.” Why are we telling you this? Well, because it’s friggin’ St. Patrick’s Day and said song, according to Lynch, was inspired by this holiest of holidays.
And what kind of site would we be if we didn’t somehow try to shoe-horn some kind of St. Patrick’s Day reference onto the blog on this day? The last thing we want are our Irish-American readers to feel slighted. So, don’t say we ignored this day. Now, enjoy the music of Stephen Lynch.
