More and more, it seems, breaking celebrity news site TMZ has been tracking down stand-up comedians (Ron White, David Spade, Carrot Top, Andy Dick). Not that we’re totally into gossip and applying it to our favorite comics, but some of these candid glimpses into their lives have been, at the very least, entertaining for the minute or two the video clips last.

Last night, the gossip site caught up with Gabriel Iglesias who confirmed that he had to change his phone number recently because he was getting threats. They report that he decided to increase security at recent shows and requested that all patrons get frisked before entering the showroom. It’s all very odd, since, if you know anything about Gabe’s comedy, it’s far from the type that draws ire from anyone. It’s got wide-range appeal and nary an offensive streak.
