Coming off a strong 2009 that saw the Comedy Central premiere and subsequent DVD release of her hour-long special Aisha Tyler is Lit: Live at the Fillmore, the prolific comedian will kick off 2010 starring in a new animated series for FX. The show Archer will premiere Jan. 14 and will also star animated voice vet Jon Benjamin (Dr. Katz) as well as Saturday Night Live alum Chris Parnell and actress Judy Greer (13 Going on 30).

Tyler plays the main character Sterling Archer’s (Benjamin) ex girlfriend Agent Lana Kane. According to the show’s IMDB page the show centers around “ISIS, an international spy agency, [where] global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other.”
