Well, at least that’s what the title of his first starring feature, Born to be a Star, would have you believe. Set for release on Labor Day of 2010, the film will unfold a plot line that plays along the lines of “Napoleon Dynamite meets Boogie Nights” according to Swardson’s latest MySpace post.

Written by Swardson, Allen Covert, and the venerable Adam Sandler, the film is also set to star Christina Ricci, Stephen Dorf, Don Johnson and Kevin Nealon. A release of the film is delayed due to the recent news that a sketch series starring Swardson has been picked up for a season by Comedy Central, rendering the comedian unable to perform press duties surrounding the movie’s release.
