HBO has announced its plans for a new Robin Williams comedy special.  The special will be filmed during his November show at D.A.R. Constitution Hall in Washington.  The stand-up performance—Williams’ fifth for HBO—is part of Williams’ “Weapons of Self-Destruction” national tour. HBO’s “Robin Williams: Weapons of Self-Destruction” will air in December.  It is Williams’ first HBO special since “Live on Broadway” in 2002.

Williams made headlines this year when he required heart surgery, forcing him to postpone his tour in March.  He has since resumed touring.
