Robin Williams, who recently had heart surgery, has announced his planned return to stand-up comedy. Williams was forced to postpone the second half of his latest national comedy tour earlier this year when his heart problem was discovered. He had surgery in March to replace his aortic valve and correct his irregular heartbeat.

“This little break has given me more energy than ever,” Williams said in a statement issued by his publicists yesterday. “Plus it’s wonderful to have a cow valve. If you don’t mind the grazing, it’s quite invigorating.”

Williams plans to resume his “Weapons of Self-Destruction” comedy tour in the Fall, starting in Bloomington, Indiana on Sept. 30. The tour will continue through Nov. 28.
