Stand-up comedians Russell Peters, Shaun Majumder and Sean Cullen have been nominated for Canadian Comedy Awards.
The awards will be presented during the Comedy Network’s (that’s Canadian Comedy Central) Canadian Comedy Awards and Festival, which takes place Oct. 2 – 5 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Last night, the eight-week search for the funniest person in Houston wrapped up at the Laff Stop. After ten finalists performed 10-minute sets each to a packed house, comedian Chase Durousseau came out on top. Comedians John Gard and Ryan Thauburn snagged second and third place respectively.
